The high-speed Thruxton circuit in Hampshire provides the venue for rounds 7, 8 and 9 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this bank holiday weekend.

After the previous meetings at Brands Hatch and Donington Park, 25-year-old James Nash is the surprise leader in the championship battle, having scored consistently well so far despite having not won a BTCC race. Can he score his maiden victory at Thruxton? A lot of drivers will be intent on stopping him!

Hot on Nash's heels in the championship are Matt Neal and Mat Jackson with Andrew Jordan and Jason Plato just behind them. Plato will be keen to restore his championship chances after they (along with his car) were severely damaged following a high-speed roll during the 2nd race at Donington Park.

WSR BMW team-mates Rob Collard and Nick Foster will be keen to put on a good show for their home crowd - both drivers hailing from nearby Hook. Collard intends to 'drive his socks off' but predicts a 'massive struggle' to match his turbo-charged rivals, despite championship organiser TOCA imposing a 0.1 bar reduction to the maximum turbo boost limit on all turbo-charged cars with immediate effect.

Follow the action live on ITV4 or better still, visit www.barc.net and book tickets to see the UK's premier motorsport series at one of the fastest circuits on the calendar. Check our pages for full qualifying and race reports.
