The rain finally cleared for the last race of the day as Mat Jackson took maximum advantage of his pole position, leading the race from start to finish and securing victory in his Airwaves Racing Ford Focus.

By lap 4, Gordon Shedden had made his way up to 2nd where he stayed to the end of the race. Behind the leaders, the racing was intense with several battles playing out through the field. Jason Plato sustained front-end body damage after an incident with the WSR BMW 320si of Rob Collard which caused both cars to loose several places.

At the chequered flag it was a victory for Mat Jackson with Gordon Shedden 2nd and Andrew Jordan 3rd. Matt Neal finished 4th ahead of the Special Tuning Racing SEAT Leon of Tom Boardman in 5th. Andy Neate completed the top six for Team Aon.

Leaving Oulton Park, Matt Neal leads the championship on 103 points just 2 points ahead of his Honda Racing team-mate Gordon Shedden. Mat Jackson is 3rd on 96 points with James Nash 4th on 95 and Jason Plato 5th on 91.

The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship now heads to Croft in North Yorkshire on June 18th/19th for the fifth meeting of the 2011 season.
