World Touring Cars come to Donington Park. The historic Donington Park circuit in Derbyshire will host the World Touring Car Championship for the first time this weekend.

The historic Donington Park circuit in Derbyshire will host the World Touring Car Championship for the first time this weekend. The WTCC event will be the first FIA World Championship meeting at Donington Park since the 1993 F1 European Grand Prix.
The event at Donington Park is a landmark in the recent history of the WTCC as there will be no championship winning SEAT Leon diesels in the field after the last of the SEAT teams switched to the new 1.6 litre turbo-charged petrol cars.
Home fans will see the return of two legends of the British Touring Car Championship in the shape of 2009 BTCC champion Colin Turkington and current WTCC leader Rob Huff. Huff, in his Chevrolet Cruze, is in the form of his life and sure to be in the mix for the win in both races. Other BTCC legends in the field are Yvan Muller, Gabriele Tarquini and Alain Menu.
