From pole position, the AmD Tuning.com Volkswagen Golf of Ollie Jackson was quickly caught and passed by the BMW 320si of Rob Collard as the eBay Motors driver sought to repeat his earlier victory.

Drama unfolded on lap 3 when Mat Jackson tore off an oil line on his Redstone Racing Ford Focus in the gravel trap at Paddock Hill and left oil on the entrance to the Druids hairpin which resulted in 7 cars going off and the race being red-flagged. There was then a lengthy clean-up operation and recovery of the affected vehicles before the race was restarted as a 20 lap event.

Collard got a good re-start but was slowly hunted down and caught by both Andrew Jordan in the Pirtek Racing Honda Civic and Jason Plato's MG KX Momentum Racing MG6. Andrew Jordan kept the lead for a number of laps before being passed by Plato going into Clearways with 3 laps to go.

Behind the leaders, Collard found his tyres going off and he was overtaken by Dave Newsham in the Team ES Racing.com Vauxhall Vectra, Jeff Smith in the second Pirtek Honda and Rob Austin's Audi A4. At the chequered flag it was a win for Jason Plato with Andrew Jordan 2nd and Dave Newsham 3rd. Jeff Smith finished 4th ahead of Rob Austin 5th and Rob Collard 6th.
