British Touring Cars take centre stage at Autosport International

The stars of the British Touring Car Championship were out in force today ahead of the Autosport show this weekend and we bring you some of the highlights of the show in a sneak preview.
Rob Austin Racing unveil their Wix sponsored 2013 BTCC car
Taking centre stage at the show is a stand dedicated to the current stars of British touring cars. Featuring a replica of the iconic Dunlop Bridge, you will find the 2013 Toyota Avensis of Dave Newsham, the Proton Persona of Dan Welch, the MG6 of Jason Plato and the Honda Civic of championship winner Gordon Shedden. Also unveiled on the stand is the Audi A4 of Rob Austin carrying the livery of 2013 team sponsors Wix. Rob Austin Racing also confirmed that Will Bratt will contest the full 2013 BTCC season alongside team principal Austin.
Amongst the drivers present were the Honda pairing Matt Neal and current BTCC champion Gordon Shedden as well as Adam Morgan, Rob Austin, Rob Collard, Nick Foster and Independents champion Andrew Jordan. Andy Neate was on hand to outline his plans for 2013 as well as Tony Gilham who is looking forward to a busy weekend meeting the fans. Also due over the weekend are Jason Plato and Dave Newsham.

Elsewhere in the show are every one of the Formula 1 cars that won in 2012 as well as some classic F1 cars, most notably on the wonderful Classic Team Lotus stand where Colin Chapman's son Clive keeps some of the rarest and greatest F1 cars in wonderful condition.
One real star of the show is the now legendary Nissan 'Batman style' DeltaWing Le Mans car from 2012. Rarely seen off the track, this is certain to generate a lot of interest on Saturday and Sunday with race fans. Other stars at the show this weekend will include World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff, Le Mans driver Allan McNish, F1's Paul di Resta and Sir Jackie Stewart.
