Robb Holland has 'shook on a deal' with Team HARD.

By MJP Media | 19 January 2013

American driver Robb Holland has 'shook on a deal' with Team HARD. boss Tony Gilham that will see last season's new-comer to the British Touring Car Championship again take the wheel of a Team HARD. touring car.

The deal will see Holland behind the wheel of a newly built NGTC car for what he hopes will be a minimum of 2 rounds although he is hoping for a lot more!

Holland's main focus will be his World Touring Car Championship drive that he is signed to but with only a few rounds clashing he will be determined to get in a BTCC car as often as possible this season. Holland confirmed to us that he plans to be on the WTCC grid this year for a full season campaign, but the final details of the programme are still to be finalised.

Team HARD. owner Tony Gilham said of the hand-shake deal "Last year Robb and I shook on a deal and it worked well for both of us, I think this deal will be no different". He continued "Robb has unfinished business with the BTCC and I know what that feels like so I will help him in every way possible".

45 year old Holland, who has spent most of his recent racing in touring cars in the USA, is likely to feature in the BTCC in the second Team HARD. NGTC Volkswagen Passat CC. With the way the BTCC and WTCC calendars stand, the most likely BTCC events for Holland will again be Snetterton and Knockhill, the two rounds the American did last season. Other appearances may be on the cards but remain to be confirmed.
