Team Dynamics and Pirtek Racing were out in force in a major shakedown for their 2013 season at the Hampshire circuit. With Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden both driving the car for Team Dynamics, there was a great deal of data recorded by the team and the signs were certainly promising in the un-liveried 2013 car.

The car definitely looked to be reasonably well sorted as it set some good times in the bitterly cold weather. Both drivers and team seemed to be optimistic, although it proved to be a bit of a challenge to get the tyres fully warm as temperatures struggled to reach 3 degrees!

Next door, the Pirtek Racing team also had both of their drivers out on track in the shape of Andrew Jordan and Jeff Smith. With each driver running their own car, a lot of effort went into this test ahead of Jordan's defence of his Independents Championship Trophy.

For Kent based Pirtek it was a poignant day, being the first track session following the tragic death of Ryan Lawford, one of the team's mechanics. Ryan, who was 26 and from Blean in Kent, was very well respected in the BTCC paddock and he will be sorely missed by the racing fraternity. The team's thoughts are with his family and a special tribute was carried on Andrew Jordan's car which he spent so much time working on.
