Following their 1-2 victory in the first race of the day, the MG KX Momentum Racing duo of Sam Tordoff and Jason Plato started the 2nd race at Snetterton from the front row of the grid with Gordon Shedden and Colin Turkington on row 2. Andrew Jordan and Aron Smith lined up on the 3rd row.

When the lights went out it was Jason Plato and Mat Jackson who got the best starts with Plato taking the lead from Sam Tordoff and Jackson splitting the MG KX Momentum Racing duo by taking 2nd place as Tordoff was sent wide. The safety car was deployed on lap 2 to allow marshals to recover the Addison Lee Motorbase Ford Focus of Liam Griffin which had spun into a gravel trap.

When racing got under way again there was a titanic battle for 4th place between the Honda Civics of Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan and Honda Yuasa Racing's Gordon Shedden with the pair exchanging places several times. Jordan finally secured the position and set about chasing the leaders.

Disaster struck race leader Jason Plato on lap 5 when his MG6 slowed to a crawl, allowing the eBay Motors BMW 125i M Sport of Colin Turkington to take the lead. Plato managed to get his car back to the pits but his race was over. Meanwhile, Turkington was being put under pressure by Sam Tordoff for the lead of the race and behind them Andrew Jordan was on a charge and soon on the tail of Tordoff. A few laps later, Jordan passed Tordoff to take 2nd place and Tordoff then fell into the clutches of Airwaves Racing's Aron Smith and Mat Jackson.

Sam Tordoff lost several places on lap 8 and dropped to 7th place as Andrew Jordan was putting intense pressure on Colin Turkington, all the while being caught by Aron Smith and Mat Jackson. Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden then passed Jackson to take 4th and 5th places. On lap 11 Jordan passed Turkington who spun off, loosing several places. Jordan was now leading and a battle ensued between Aron Smith and Matt Neal for 2nd place with Neal securing the place in the closing laps.

The race ended in victory for Andrew Jordan with Matt Neal 2nd and Aron Smith 3rd. Mat Jackson finished 4th with Adam Morgan 5th and Colin Turkington 6th. Lea Wood secured another Jack Sears Cup for S2000 specification cars. The reverse grid draw for the final race of the day will see the Speedworks Motorsport Toyota Avensis of Dave Newsham in pole position alongside reigning BTCC champion Gordon Shedden. Row 2 will be taken by Colin Turkington and Adam Morgan with Mat Jackson and Aron Smith on row 3.
