After the disappointment of Brands Hatch, I am eager to get my 2013 campaign back on track. Two Did Not Finishes (DNFs) from three races really wasn't what I had planned. In fact I was hoping to have no more than that for the full season, so 100% finishes from here on in is a tough ask, but not impossible!
The weather is looking to be much warmer this weekend, so let's hope the freezing conditions that our car does not like are a thing of the past. That said, despite our car not liking those icily cold conditions, for the short time we spent on track at Brands Hatch, we were quick! Note to self - stay on track and all will be well...
On track at Brands Hatch
The whole Speedworks team are really excited about Donington Park. We have yet more aero upgrades for this weekend and as you will see throughout the season, work never stops at Speedworks. Because of this, our two Saturday practice sessions will be spent evaluating the upgrades and fine tuning the car to the circuit. Personally, I love Donington. It's a very old-school flowing circuit with some very fast corners. Craner Curves for example is a downhill corner taken (last year in my Vectra) flat out in sixth gear. One for the very brave!
We seemed to have no luck last time out so let's hope that changes and we can have at least one podium during the weekend. I'd love you all to come along and give me a big shout or come and say hello as without you, the fans, it just isn't much fun at all.
Dave is looking forward to better fortune at Donington Park
