Silverstone BTCC - Warren Scott update

Warren Scott has returned to the Silverstone circuit after hospital treatment in Oxford following yesterday's crash which has ruled him out of the rest of the season.

After yesterday's horrendous crash which saw Team BMR RCIB Insurance owner/driver Warren Scott taken to hospital, the team have confirmed this morning that Warren suffered four fractured vertebrae and will be out of action for at least 6 weeks which rules him out of the remainder of the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

It was a testament to the strength of the design of the Volkswagen CC and the engineering quality of the team that Warren wasn't more badly injured in the high speed crash as the Hertfordshire driver was able to return to the circuit on Saturday evening.
Alain Menu drove for Team BMR in 2014
Given the close working relationship with the team, it seems likely that Swiss driver/coach Alain Menu will step in and drive the car in the car in the final rounds at Brands Hatch in October.
