Following repercussions from race one, Jack Goff and Tom Ingram found themselves at the back of the grid for the start of race 2 at Knockhill. Mat Jackson started on pole with Gordon Shedden for company on the front row. Behind them were Rob Austin and Rob Collard, Andrew Jordan and Sam Tordoff, Colin Turkington and Jason Plato. Andy Priaulx and Matt Neal rounded out the first ten.

As the lights went out it was the Motorbase Performance Ford Focus of pole-sitter Mat Jackson that got the best start and led into the first corner from Gordon Shedden in the Honda Yuasa Racing Civic Type R and Rob Austin in the Exocet AlcoSense Audi A4. Rob Collard was in 4th place for JCT600 Racing with GardX with Andrew Jordan 5th for MG 888 Racing. By the end of the first lap, Jackson had a useful 0.4 second lead but this was eaten into over the next 3 laps by Gordon Shedden who eventually passed him on lap 5.

Gordon Shedden soon built a lead as Mat Jackson and Rob Austin were embroiled in the battle for 2nd place with Austin taking the position on lap 9 by which time Shedden's lead was almost 5 seconds. The safety car was deployed on lap 12 after Colin Turkington was involved in incident with a team-mate resulting in suspension failure. Unfortunately for Shedden, this wiped out his lead and he had to start building it all over again.

After the safety car went back in, Gordon Shedden continued to push hard and soon re-established a gap over those behind him. From 3rdd place, Rob Austin had a moment on lap 19, slipping him down to 6th and allowing Rob Collard up to 3rd place where he set about catching Mat Jackson who was running in 2nd. Collard pushed hard and was finally able to grab 2nd on lap 25 of the extended 27 lap race, but by then it was too late to catch the Flying Scotsman Gordon Shedden who won by a massive 3.4 seconds with Collard second and Jackson 3rd. Andrew Jordan was 4th, Andy Priaulx 5th and Rob Austin in 6th.

The grid for the final race of the day is determined by the reverse draw which produced a full top 10 reversal. This gifted pole position to Adam Morgan in the WIX Racing Mercedes Benz A-Class with local teenager Aiden Moffat in his Laser Tools Racing Mercedes Benz A-Class which is prepared by the same team as Adam Morgan's car. The second row will be occupied by Matt Neal and Jason Plato, followed by Rob Austin and Andy Priaulx on row 3, Andrew Jordan and Mat Jackson on row 4 and Rob Collard and Gordon Shedden on row 5. One thing for certain is that the two Mercedes Benz cars will have some of the fastest drivers breathing down their necks off the line.
