The Inside Track with Power Maxed Racing: All systems go for the British Touring Car Championship 2015!
By Power Maxed Racing / MJP Media | 23 March 2015
After a hectic winter of deals, development, driver searching and acquisitions, it's time for the start of the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and here's a sneak preview of the car!
Dave Newsham won the Jack Sears Trophy in 2014
It is quite amazing how the best part of six months has disappeared just like that. At the end of last season we were sponsors of a team with a single car in the BTCC. Then we were discussing our sponsorship for 2015 when the opportunity to actually buy the team and become a team owner came around and it didn't take us too long to agree the deal. It is a massive opportunity for us, but a big responsibility too.
Having achieved this we needed to look at drivers and decided we only wanted to consider proven race winning people who could help us develop an already strong set up and bring enthusiasm and a positive outlook. We certainly got that with Dave Newsham and we both think that there is a real prospect of some great results this year.
Then there was the chance to run 2 cars and this makes perfect sense for us so we went for it and that meant a second driver and bigger team. Josh Cook was a great choice and we hope is a natural fit. Fast and a proven race winner like Dave, he is exactly our sort of driver. We have strengthened the team with more engineering and leadership and having got all of that in place, it dawned that there was only a few short weeks before the season! Blimey!!
