Following today's qualifying session, Tom Ingram's Speedworks Motorsport Toyota Avensis was declared to have failed a ride-height check, as a result of which, Ingram had his qualifying times removed and will start race one from the back of the grid.

With Ingram losing his front row start for tomorrow's first race, Rob Austin was promoted to 2nd on the grid behind Colin Turkington, giving Simon Belcher's Handy Motorsport their best ever qualifying result. Belcher said: "Huge respect to Rob and all the team today, our first ever front row qualifying in the British Touring Car Championship... bring on tomorrow."

Tom Ingram commented: "Although disappointing, full credit to TOCA for making the call. We win as a team, we lose as a team. We can race from the back of the grid, absolutely." Hunter Abbott now joins Jason Plato on row 2 of the grid with Josh Cook and Jack Goff on row 3. Gordon Shedden and Adam Morgan will start on row 4 with Aiden Moffat and current championship leader Sam Tordoff on row 5.
